Nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva, in the heart of Vevey, the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes is one of those places that immediately creates a sense of occasion.
Its historic architecture, elegant interiors and exceptional views over the lake and the surrounding Alps provide a remarkable setting for a wedding in Switzerland. From the ornate wrought-iron staircase and marble columns to the chandeliers, stained glass and grand piano, every detail reflects the character and history of this iconic hotel.
For this wedding, I had the opportunity to photograph the atmosphere and details of the venue, from its historic entrance and refined interiors to the panoramic views across Lake Geneva.
Vevey is also an especially beautiful location for wedding photography. The lake, the mountains and the elegant Belle Époque architecture create a natural backdrop that combines the intimacy of the town with the grandeur of the Swiss Riviera.
Dating back to the 19th century, the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes has a distinctive Belle Époque character, with elegant architectural details, marble columns, ornate ironwork and beautifully preserved interiors.
Its location in the heart of Vevey, directly overlooking Lake Geneva, makes it a particularly remarkable setting for a wedding. The combination of historic architecture, refined interiors and the surrounding landscape gives the photographs a strong sense of place.
Every wedding begins with the details. At the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes, the preparations reflected an elegant and timeless style, with carefully chosen stationery, delicate accessories and beautiful bridal details.
From the wedding rings and invitation suite to the bride's shoes, flowers and the groom's accessories, these small elements helped set the tone for the day. Photographing these details is also a way of preserving the atmosphere and personality of a wedding before the celebrations begin.
As the wedding day unfolds, the preparations take place within the elegant rooms of the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes. The groom gets ready surrounded by the warm atmosphere of the hotel, while the bride's final preparations bring together the dress, veil, jewellery and bouquet.
These quiet moments before the ceremony are an important part of the story, capturing the anticipation and emotion as everything comes together.
The wedding ceremony took place on the terrace of the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes, overlooking Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains. Framed by an elegant floral arch of white and blue flowers, the setting created a beautiful backdrop for this intimate celebration.
From the exchange of rings to the emotional moments shared beneath the arch, every detail reflected the elegance and atmosphere of the day. The ceremony concluded with the newlyweds walking back down the aisle surrounded by their loved ones and a shower of flower petals.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds took a moment to enjoy the elegant surroundings of the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes and the spectacular views over Lake Geneva. From intimate black-and-white portraits inside the historic hotel to relaxed photographs on the terrace, these images capture their happiness and the timeless elegance of the day.
The architecture, soft natural light and mountain backdrop provided a beautiful setting for portraits that feel both refined and personal.
The celebration continued with a unique live painting performance, bringing together art, personality and the atmosphere of the wedding. Before the guests’ eyes, the artist transformed a blank canvas into a striking portrait of the newlyweds, using vibrant golden pigments and expressive brushwork.
Captured from the first strokes to the final reveal, these photographs tell the story of an original and memorable animation that gave the couple a very personal work of art to take home.
The table décor combined timeless elegance with a delicate palette of white, powder blue and touches of gold. Crisp white linens provided the perfect backdrop for refined tableware, textured blue glassware and elegant gold cutlery, while lush floral arrangements of white roses, blue hydrangeas and soft greenery brought a romantic touch to the reception.
Tall golden candelabras added height and sophistication to the tables, beautifully complementing the floral arrangements and the overall styling of the terrace. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the personalised stationery to the delicate little floral bouquets placed on each napkin.
Set against the lake and mountains, the tables created a chic, luminous and timeless atmosphere, perfectly suited to this elegant wedding in Vevey.
As the evening unfolded, the atmosphere became even more festive. The wedding cake took centre stage, beautifully decorated with white and blue flowers and topped with a miniature version of the newlyweds.
From the cake cutting to the sparkling fountain entrance, these final moments brought a wonderful sense of celebration and energy to the evening. The couple embraced the moment with their guests before sharing a romantic kiss under the evening lights.
It was a joyful and elegant way to end a beautiful wedding day on the shores of Lake Geneva.
